Early Termination of Discharge

A cell whose voltage falls to 0.50v during discharge will cause the discharge to be stopped (remote leads must be fitted). If the other cells are above the cell cut-off voltage, then these cells will not have the correct time/capacity indicated as the discharge has been stopped early. You need to replace the cell that caused early termination of the discharge to bring the pack back to its full potential.

Cell 2 above needs to be replaced to bring the pack to its full potential.

Power %

Pro-Trak uses the internal resistance figures to calculate a Power % for the pack and each cell. The average pack/cell will have a power rating of 100%. Packs or cells with figures below 100% will have less punch, packs or cells above 100% should have more punch. Power % should not be confused with capacity. Packs/cells with 103% power do not necessarily have good capacity. The trick is to get packs with good power % and good capacity.

Delta Fallback

If the delta fallback volts is above 0.03, a short bleep will be given every 2 seconds.

Remote Leads not Connected

If the remote leads are not connected correctly Pro-Trak will indicate which cell/cells are to be checked. i.e. Check Cell # 2 Remote connected.

Changing charge current during charge

Pressing key 5 while charging is in progress will allow the charge current to be changed. Use the scroll keys to change the current then press 0. The current is then ramped quickly to the value set. Change current display will automatically return to the charge display after 5 seconds if key 0 is not pressed.

Power %, Fallback volts and Peak volts

The Power % , Fallback volts and Peak volt figures are only cleared when charge is started, this allows the user to discharge the pack and still have access to Power % , Fallback volts and Peak Volts.

Audible Warning

An audible warning is given should Pro-Trak identify a problem, the length of time the buzzer sounds is programmable and can be changed in the set-up menu.

Input supply Warning (only when the remote leads are not connected)

An audible warning is given every 4 minutes when the input volts fall below 11.5 volts

Charging/Discharging less than 6 cells

You must select the number of cell to charge in the set-up menu. This sets the correct delta and discharge cut-off for that number of cells.

Remote leads:- if charging/discharging 5 cells then remote lead #5 must be connected to positive of cell 5 (along with the thick red).

If charging/discharging 4 cells then remote lead #4 must be connected to positive of cell 4 (along with the thick red) and the green is not connected as there is no cell 5.
