If the Turbo Increase is set to 0.00 then Turbo is not applied.
Turbo is also not applied if the charge time is < 180 or the charge current is set to < 3.00 amps
This extends the charge period and improves the performance of the pack. Set "Turbo Increase" in the Set-up menu "Set Turbo Mode" When charging is started Pro-Trak gives a message "Turbo Charging"
Setting Discharge amps (9 in Set-up menu)
The discharge current of Pro-Trak is fixed at 20 amps and is not adjustable. This allows us to make the discharge current very accurate by compensating for temperature changes in the sensing medium. Pro-Trak discharge current is also very stable over the required voltage range during discharge i.e. 8 to 5 volts. Some dischargers will have a drop-off in current in excess of 2 amps when the pack voltage falls to 6 volts. This does not allow accurate recording of discharge times. With this accuracy in discharge current we are able to calculate the discharge time at higher discharge rates.
Use the transmitter charge facility in the charge menu
to perform a quick charge on a completely flat transmitter. This is a 5 minute
timed charge.
Note: Pro-Trak cannot fully charge 8 cell transmitter
packs from a 12 volt supply.
If power fails during charging Pro-Trak will resume charging from where charging failed. When power is restored Pro-Trak will give an audible warning and display "Power Fail Charging Resumed". ie If the power fails at 1253 seconds charging will be resumed from 1253 seconds when the power returns. Press a key to clear the "Power Fail" message and return to charge display.
Flashing Cursor
The cursor between minutes and seconds will flash when Ni-Cd has been selected. The cursor does not flash when Ni-Mh has been selected.
Pro-Trak will printout automatically to most serial printers which are EPSON RX 80,LX 80 compatible. The printer must be set to the following protocol:- 1200 baud, 8 data, no parity, 1 stop bit.
Re-Peak
Packs that have stood for awhile benefit from being discharged for a short time ( 60 seconds ) before being re-peaked. Selecting re-peak from the charge menu allows you to set a discharge time, a delay time re-peak current and re-peak delta before re-peaking the pack. If a discharge time of 60 seconds and a delay before repeak of 2 minutes is set the pack is discharged for 60 seconds waits 2 minutes then starts to re-peak the pack.
