Editing Messages

Select Edit Power Message from Set-up Menu

Edit Power Message: 

When you enter the Edit Power Message the display will show: Edit Message

7=N 0=Y 8= DF

Pressing key 7 will exit the menu.

Pressing key 8 will restore the default message (Have a good Day’s Racing)

Pressing key 0 will display Power-up message (the cursor is placed at the end of the bottom line, but will not be visible until you press key "4".

The letter "m" is the cursor

Key functions

Key 1 Capitals (displays "M" when pressed)

Key 2 Lower case (displays "m" when pressed)

Key 3 Punctuation marks (displays "." when pressed)

Key 4 Backspace (steps back and displays "m")

Key 5 Insert a space (inserts a space and displays "m")

Key 6 Numbers ( displays the number "5")

Key 7 Exit and save message.

Key 8 Moves cursor to the end of the top line (cursor only displayed when you press key 4 to backspace)

Key 9 Moves cursor to the end of the bottom line (cursor only displayed when you press key 4 to backspace)

Key 0 Moves to the next letter.

Key * Scroll letters back.

Key # Scroll letters forward.

Below is the order of letters, if the scroll keys are held down the letters scroll round.

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz . _’ , ; : ! ( ) @ + - * / > < & 1234567890^

If you continue to scroll after "^" it returns to "A"

To put the following text into Power-up message follow steps below.

Press key "1" 32 times to clear old message (display will show "m" on top left of display)

Press key "5" 4 times to move cursor to 5th letter in.

Press key "1" to display Capitals ("M")

Press # key until "P" is displayed then press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press # key until "r" is displayed then press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press # key until "o" is displayed then press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press key "3" to display punctuation marks, then press # key until "-" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press key "1" to display capitals, press # key until "T" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press # key until "r" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press * key until "a" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press * key until "k" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press key "5" 6 times to move cursor to bottom line (2 spaces in)

Press key "1" to display capitals, press # key until "S" is displayed, press key "0" to step to the next letter.

Press * key until "a" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press # key until "y" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press key "3" to display punctuation marks, press # key until ’ is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press * key until "s" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press key "5" 2 times, then press key "1" to display capitals, press * key until "H" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press * key until "e" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press * key until "l" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press * key until "l" is displayed, press key "0" to move to the next letter.

Press # key until "o" is displayed, press key "7" to exit, do not press "0" to step to the next letter.

You can re-display the Power-up message by stepping down to Display Pwr Msg, the message is re-displayed and if a tune is entered into Compose Prelude this is also played.

The Charge Message is edited in the same way, to re-display the message after editing step down to Display Chg Msg, the end of charge message is re-displayed and if a tune is entered into Compose Charged this is also played.

If you do not want the message displayed you can configure Pro-Trak not to display either message in the

"Show Pwr Msg " or the "Show Chg Msg" menu.
